Our client has a wireless enviroment with several APs model 1231 using WLSE, which is a legacy piece of hardware that I'm not sure about its function.
As far as I know the APs work in standalone mode and they are not managed by the WLSE. On the documentation of the NAC guest server states that it coule be integrade with WLCs but at the same link talks about RADIUS clients:
