NAC NM module basic question

Hi friends,

We are building a branch office connectivity solution and we are planning for NME-NAC-K9 module for the 2811 routers. Primary router will be connected to MPLS and secondary to ISDN.

Is it possible to equip just primary router with NME-NAC module and leave the secondary router as it is with just the chassis?

In other words, if the MPLS link or router go down, and if the CAS is unreachable, then will the network still be operational without the CAS?

Thanks a lot

Gautam

Re: NAC NM module basic question

Hi Gautam,

The network in your design will still be operational if the MPLS link or router goes down. In other words, when traffic stops being directed to the CAS module in your 2811, end users will still be able to reach your network via the ISDN link.

Hope this helps.

Paul
