NAT with DSL- can't connect to PIX

Hi,

When traveling with Laptop to a hotel around america, most rooms has DSL ports for internaet browsing.

Why can't I use this connection to connect to my officr PIX with a VPN dailer?

When dialing by phone it's working, and by using cables at home it works as well.

Is it the NAT IP or something else?

Re: NAT with DSL- can't connect to PIX

Native IPSec does not allow the traffic to pass through a PAT device. If you have a PIX as a VPN server, then make sure that you run 6.3 on the pix and enable NAT transparency on it to work-around this problem. 3.6 or higher clients support NAT transparency as well

Re: NAT with DSL- can't connect to PIX

Thank you for the quick respond.

So I need to upgrade my POS from 6.2 to 6.3 and this will solve the problem?

Basically as you describe it the problem is IPSec over NAT, the VPN while using NAT can’t connect to the PIX performing as VPN server?

Was this solution proved to be working by Cisco?

I read about this feature at the POS but one guy told me the problem is still accruing.
