Hi, I am working on a procedure to wipe the configurations and any crypto keys off of IOS catalyst switches and ASA firewalls. Can someone help me understand what exactly the process is that wr erase command does? Does it just delete files or does it actually scrub or wipe the data so that it is not recoverable? And what is the best commands or procedures to use to wipe all configuratoin and crypto keys from an ASA and Catalyst IOS switch?
