I have some remote users that have Broadband connections. I need to put 3com IP phones in their offices. i have a couple of guys that i connected with my 3005 and 3002 hardware clients. it works fine except these POS 3com phones need multicast to pass to use some features ie date/time and conf call. Is there anyway i can do this with my 3005 and 3002 setup? If not i also have a PIX 515 and let me know what i need to buy.
Thanks in advance,
Joe

Hello,
Native IPSec in IOS cannot pass multicast traffic, and I think is the same withthe 3000.
If you need to send mcast encrypted, will either have to use GRE+IPSec tunnels, or the new IOS IPSec Virtual Interfaces - which can pass mcast traffic.

great,
I have a 2651 that is just sitting here, can i use that somehow and maybe use some 800 series routers at the remote end? are there any examples of this?
