Need VMS documentation for existing sensors upgraded to 4.0
I have upgraded one of our 4230 sensors to 4.0. Is there any documentation that walks you through changes you should make in VMS once you have upgraded an existing sensor to 4.0? I'm no longer getting alerts from that sensor though VMS seems to be able to communicate with it. All the documentation I have been able to find has to do with the sensor software or with new sensors in VMS. None seem to address the issue of an existing sensor upgraded to 4.0. Currently the sensor is at 4.1(1)S48 as is VMS.

First, you need to check if the sensor is able to see the traffic that needs to be logged (use snoop). Also, ensure that the sensor is connected to the right segment. It might have got disconnected due to a topology change. If the sensors are seeing the traffic, confirm if they are able to communicate with the device it is reporting to.
