One Public IP for Inbound & Outbound with 2 NIC

I am having 2 NIC card in One Server and assigned 2 Private IP for each other. In order to access Internet, I have Configured PAT in Firewall ( PIX 515E, S.W: 6.3(4) ). Now i want to access my Server from the Internet. To do this I have to MAP One Public IP to One of the Private IP. My question is, Is there is any possibilty to have to only one Public IP for the Outbound and Inbound Process?

Re: One Public IP for Inbound & Outbound with 2 NIC

Hi

Could you clarify. Are you trying to statically map 2 private IP's to one public IP or are you just trying to get rid of the PAT for one of the private IP's.

static (inside, outside) "public ip" "private ip" netmask 255.255.255.255

would translate connections initiated from the inside to the outside and from the outside to the inside.

Have i misunderstood ?

Re: One Public IP for Inbound & Outbound with 2 NIC

Hi Jon,

Is it possible to assign one public for two private IP. Scenario is simple, Inbound connection should go by one Interfaces and outbound connection should go by other.
