Within my LAN I can get to the ASA using ASDM no problem, but I cant seem to from work.
I have my network at work permitted to access it (and not open to the whole world) but when I try to, I get an error saying "Unable to launch ASDM from <domain.dom>: The device does not have the appropriate device manager image installed. ASDM Launcher supports ASDM5.0 or higher versions only."
Does this have anything to do with the fact that I have https pointing to a different box from within the inside?

If your hitting the outside interface you can only manage your firewall through an ipsec tunnel.
management-access "INTERFACE"

Really?
We have customers that Im able to ASDM into with an IPSEC tunnel. In fact I would ASDM in to configure their VPN!

HI .. that was the case using a PIX however, ASA you don't need that. You need to use https and make sure you have allowed access to the outside interface
http X.X.X.X 255.255.255.255 outside
where X.X.X.X is the public address you are connecting from.
Note the OPTIONAL management-access command is only used for management over an IPsec tunnel.
I hope it helps .. please rate it if it does !!!

Thank you. Does it matter that I have https pointing to another box on the inside?
