Packet loss on VPN tunnel Pix 515E - 6.3(4) to ASA 5510 - 7.2(3)4

Simple Pix to ASA VPN configuration. We are experiencing packet loss with larger packets. The larger the packets the more packets that are lost.

Test is to ping with increasing packet size starting from 100 up to 10000 byte packets.

Moved termination point off of the ASA to a VPN 3015 Concentrator and there is no packet loss at all.

You should test from 100 to 1420 bytes...

Hi,

This could be a fragmentation issue .

Try to adjust TCP MSS value or MTU on the VPN end devices .
