PAT translation on PIX firewall

Hi,

I´ve recently come across a problem related to PIX firewalls. After issuing a "show xlate" message, I got several translations.

The last few lines are as follows:

PAT Global WEB(35782) Local WEB_WLBS(0)

PAT Global WEB(35779) Local WEB_WLBS(0)

PAT Global WEB(35761) Local WEB_WLBS(0)

PAT Global WEB(35755) Local WEB_WLBS(0)

PAT Global WEB(35741) Local WEB_WLBS(0)

PAT Global WEB(35735) Local WEB_WLBS(0)

PAT Global WEB(35723) Local WEB_WLBS(0)

PAT Global WEB(35717) Local WEB_WLBS(0)

What meaning do these translations to port 0 have?

Thanks,

Enrique

Re: PAT translation on PIX firewall

I have seen (0) for icmp, but it should append ICMP id x at the end of the line.

Can you post the show xlate detail as it appears?

Hi, Steve.

Thanks for your help. I´m afraid we couldn´t catch the show xlate detail on the spot. However, look at the whole "show xlate":

As you can see, for the WEB_WLBS device, there are normal translations ( normal ports ) and suddenly translations point to port "0". This was captured upon startup of the PIX firewall.
