Hi,

Different versions of pcAnywhere use of different IP ports. Earlier versions used ports 22 (UDP) and 65301 (TCP). These ports were not registered. Beginning with version 7.5, pcAnywhere uses ports 5631 (TCP) and 5632 (UDP). Take a look here for more info:

Wow, what a link...hope it comes across OK. Anyway, generally, you only need to open TCP/5631 and UDP/5632 to get all facets of PC Anywhere to work.

Scott

Thanks Scott for the response, I will let u know soon

Thanks

Are you sure you are using the right client? remote desktop is MS's name for their RDP (remote desktop protocol) service on XP pro boxes. You need a MS terminal services/remote desktop client to access it. PCAnywhere is a completely different product.

TS/RD runs on tcp 3389
