PDM creating new network object-groups?

Hi,

We're using the following:

Cisco PIX Firewall Version 6.2(2)

Cisco PIX Device Manager Version 2.1(1)

After defining some network object-groups I've found that when you simply open PDM it creates a new bunch of object-groups appended with "_real". If you close it and open it again you get another bunch, this time appended with "_real1".

What on earth is going on here???

Andrew.

Hi Andrew,

Apart from the _real extensions being added to the group names is the gui showing the rules as (NULL

RULES).

A null rule indicates that an access rule was configured for a host that is not visible on another interface.Hence no traffic can flow between the hosts. This could happen when either the inbound rule doesn't have a static translation or the outbound rule doesn't have NAT configured. Ensure that the configuration is correct.

The bug CSCdx79154 has the details.
