Performance of AIM-VPN/MP-DES/3DES

Hie, Does anybody can tell me when in, for example, a Data Base application end-to-en in a VPN Tunnel, which is difference in possessing this module and not possessing, that is, the time of reply of my application between the server and the client will gain performance if I to possess this module?

My router is a 3640 with 96MB Dram, 32MB Flash and IOS Enterprise Plus Ipsec 3DES - c3640-jk9s-mz.122-8.T5.bin, and I intend to implement many circuits of VPN.

On a 3640 without an accelerator, you could expect real-world performance of about 1 mb/s encrypted throughout assuming a range of packet sizes and some that require fragmentation.

WIth the VPN-MP, expect 5mb/s encrypted throughput all other factors being the same.
