I see that the PIX PDM does not support alias commands. We have several firewalls with alias commands we would like to convert. None are doing any dns doctoring, but doing destination NAT. Is coverting as simple as replacing the alias statements with a static statement?
Yes, it should be. You need to be on at least 6.2 code (latest 6.2 or 6.3 is recommended) in order to get support for bi-directional NAT. For destination NAT purposes, just create your statics backwards from what you normally would. Hope this helps.
