I am assuming what I am proposing is not possible, but if someone could prove me wrong it would be appreciated.
We are using a FWSM in our data centre to firewall our servers. Our sysadmins would like to ping the gateway of the server (ie an inside FWSM interface) from outside to confirm the gateway is up.
Everything I have read shown that it is not possible to ping an inside interface from outside.
Any idea if there is a solution.
