I have an 506 Firewall with 6.2 software release that protect my Corporate LAN

I use an DSL access to Internet.

I use VPDN and PPPOE to initiate the Internet connection. I will use the IPSEC functionnality to allow remote access to the Corporate LAN for my teleworker.

If I have VPDN ( with PPPOE ) activated on the outside interface can I activate the vpn functionality on the same outside interface ?

Thanks for your help.

Hi,

You can configure your pix 506 for remote access but here is the catch, if you have PPPoE enabled on the outside interface , you need to make sure that ISP assigns you the same ip address everytime the request is made or otherwise each and everytime the end users have to change the ip address in the client settings.

Regards,

Arul

Just to add..

Here is the link which explains config and troubleshooting PIX as PPPoE Client for your reference.
