The LAN ports (1-4) appears to lock-up. Cannot ping

or get arp requests from the LAN side of the firewall. Also the activity

lights on the LAN side will stay hard light even when nothing is plugged in.

On responses to power plug off/on. Code 6.3 (5). There IS no traffic other than telnet. Used Pix 501 FOR TRAINING.

Hello,

Can you plug in a console cable and post the information that pops up when the 501 boots.

Patrick

From what I can see on a console connection is that it is going through a normal boot over and over. There is no crashinfo either?

Have you set the boot variable?

e.g.

boot system flash:/pix705.bin

If you cant get in to the system to find this out, I would break into Monitor mode, boot from a TFTP server and set the boot variable once you have access to the system.

Can you just copy and paste the information here, so that we can take a look i.e. when it boots up before it re-boots.

From what you have said it indicates a corrupt image file, but post the info and we should be able to tell.

Thanks / Jay
