A PIX 506E that I administer keeps locking up and stops responding. I also found that this is happeneing about 4-5 times a week. The PIX is the gateway/router for a Windows Server 2003 network. It is also on a cable internet line.
Any suggestions? Thank you.

If you can make sure that console port is also not working when the PIX stops responding, because if it is then it is most probably a hardware problem. However certain types of packets passing through can also cause such a problem.

UPDATE:
I thought this was another thread.
The issue was in fact the electrical outlet the switch connect to the PIX was plugged into.
We have since changed out the outlet and everything is working.
What I'm thinking happened was there was a leak into the switch circuits which caused the PIX to protect itself.
