PIX 515E-R-BUN to UR for fail over

Hi all,

i have a pix 515-E Restricted model i want to use it for a failover scenario.

restricted bundle normally wont support

fail over rt? i need to upgrade it to unrestricted bundle rt.

please give me the procedures required for that, do we need to pay any amt to cisco.we are not channel partner so please give me the exact procedures for this.

any post will be appreciated.

Esyest way is to send an Email to < licensing@cisco.com > an ask them how to proceed.

I had multiple clients that proceeded in this way.

Copy the output of a show version to the Email.

approach to a cisco reseller for pricing. no doubt there will be a fee to upgrade the license.

then a document will be received with a pak value.

register on cisco website (free); the go www.cisco.com/go/license.

enter the pak or the actual pix serial number. an email will then be received with a new activation code.

log on to the pix. do the command "activation-key activation-key-four-tuple".
