Pix 515E version 6.1(4) upgrade

I trying to upgrade a pix 515E version 6.1(4) to 6.3(1) remotely. I did the "copy tftp flash" command, however version 6.1(4) does not have the "activation-key" command. If I reboot after my upgrade will I be able to

ssh backup into the pix and execute to "activation-key" command or will it not boot at all? Or do I have to ugrade it from the monitor mode?

I'm trying to upgrade the pix remotely, is it possible?

Hi,

Yep, should not be a problem to upgrade the PIX remotely. The PIX will continue to use the current activation key and config. If you want to change the activation key after the TFTP upgrade to 6.3, just use the activation key command once you reload the PIX and SSH back in. Also, I would highly recommend upgrading to 6.3(3) rather that 6.3(1) if you are going to go through the motions anyway.
