Are you trying to load 6.2 pix os off of the floppy? You will need a 16MB flash card for that. It could be that someone tryed upgrading that pix to 6.2, and it failed, and that is why you see that message. You definitely need the 16MB flash card to run modern pix os though

Hello Ciprian,

You have not got enough flash memory to upgrade to 6.2

Please upgrade your memory and then try again.

Thanks - Jay.

Hi,

I have a "PIX Firewall" and i receive the same errors when i attempt to boot of the boothelper disk.

Do i need to change any jumpers on my pix flash card? or should i be looking at anything else?

Thanks

Separate 16 MG Flash Card is what you need....about $700-800 US. I don't recall any jumpers on the card, why are you booting off of the floppy ?

Mitch

Hi,

I have a "PIX Classic" Firewall. Can i load an older version of the Pix software, say 5.1(2)? will this fit on the 2MB Flash.

I am booting from the Floppy using the boothelper, as i only have version 4 software running.

the carad in the box has 8 Dip switches

Thanks

Yes. 5.1.5 is the latest code you can run on a 2 MB flash card. Flash=AT29C040A indicates a 2 MB flash card. You may want to upgrade incrementally, depending on what version of 4 code you have. (such as 4.2>4.4>5.1). I'm curious why you want to go to 5.1 code, if the 4. code is working currently.

I have version 4.0.5

I am using this as a lab pix.. I would like to upgrade to the latest version for this device.

any ideas where i can download 5.1.5 ? i can not locate it on the pix software download page?
