Pix 6.2 - VPN Client 3.6

Hi all,

I need to configure the VPN between a Pix firewall and a VPN client; can I configure authentication with a local user database?

Hi Marco,

Extended authentication on the pix is only possible using a TACACS or RADIUS server.

The PIX does not support a local database on the pix for extended authentication. You will need to either just use the group name and group password for authentication, or use a TACACS or RADIUS server to add

additional authentication.
