PIX 6.3 Interfaces on same subnet

I want to protect an existing internal network. Can the inside and outside interfaces addresses be on the same subnet. I want to avoid creating more subnets. Thanks

No, the PIX is a network-layer firewall, so inserting one into your network requires an additional subnet be created.
