PIX 802.1q Support?

Hi!

I know that the new software 6.3 comes with 802.1q support bu i have a few questions about that:

1 - does the PIX501 supports it also?If yes, only in the inside interface right (10/100 Mbps)?

2 - does the 8 VLAN support is by interface or the total?

3 - does the VLAN support means that i no longer need to by extra NIC for my PIX and just configure virtual interfaces?

Thanks for you time,

Olindo

According to the following doc, the answer is no:

http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/iaabu/pix/pix_sw/v_63/63rnotes/pixrn63.htm#45391

You'll get some additional answers here:
