PIX and ASA layer 2 firewall can pass IPX traffic?

If PIX and ASA deployed as layer 2 firewall, then can it pass and check the IPX traffic???

It will allow the traffic. I don't believe it does inspection, however. Try the following:

access-list 101 ethertype permit ipx

access-group 101 in interface inside

access-group 101 in interface outside
