Hi,
I am trying to set up a PIX 501, and would like to have separate IPs for the inside interfaces. Is there a way to assign an IP to each port? or is this something that requires 2 inside interfaces? What I am trying to do is to segment the network at the PIX, like vlans.
Thanks

If you're asking if the 501 supports a DMZ interface, the answer would be no. You cannot assign each inside port an IP address.

I am trying to set up two separate networks segments and thought that we could use the PIX since we already have it. I wanted to try and do this without buying a switch. Do any of the PIX products allow more then 1 inside interface?
Thanks - Wayne

PIX 515, 525 and 535 support DMZ interfaces. Unfortunately the 506 and the 501 do not. A solution may be to use a small router to create two segments, then you can continue to use the 501.
