Hello All & Greetings.

I have a scenario as below and would like how to make needed changes.

I have a PIX firewall which is being used by 2 entities. However, one of them now wants togo their own separate way. I need to eliminate / remove all configs relevant to them (incl. any common Access Lists) so that I can have the PIX fuly being used for my own purposes (giving me benefits o more throughput, etc.) How do I best accomplish this as also any testing procs that I have done it right, will be very, very helpful.

Please suggest your take on this as also any relevant reference material / links, etc.

Thanks in advance!

kishan

You will need to remove the commands one by one. Most commands can be removed by entering the no form of the command. Best practices require that you take a back up of the current config and then make the changes. This way, if you end up doing something you did not intend to do and dont know what you did wrong, you could simple paste the old config back. I would suggest you have a look at documents dealing with the basic config of the PIX on the PIX support page at http://www.cisco.com/pcgi-bin/Support/browse/psp_view.pl?p=Hardware:PIX&viewall=true. More specifically, for basic configuration of the PIX, you will find the following document very helpful. http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/vpndevc/ps2030/products_configuration_example09186a0080094ea2.shtml
