Hi,

i've configured a pix for adsl connection.

I've followed what's written in this url:

http://cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/vpndevc/ps2030/products_configuration_example09186a00801055dd.shtml

I can't ping the router , i use 2611.

Here is the output of "show vpdn pppinterface"

PPP virtual interface id = 1

PPP authentication protocol is PAP

Client ip address is 0.0.0.0

Transmitted Pkts: 149, Received Pkts: 149, Error Pkts: 0

MPPE key strength is None

MPPE_Encrypt_Pkts: 0, MPPE_Encrypt_Bytes: 0

MPPE_Decrypt_Pkts: 0, MPPE_Decrypt_Bytes: 0

Rcvd_Out_Of_Seq_MPPE_Pkts: 0

When i do "show ip address outside pppoe"

i've got

r: 0.0.0.0 255.255.255.255 on Interface: outside

What's missing ?

Thanks in advanced

ip address outside pppoe setroute

vpdn group pppoex request dialout pppoe

vpdn group pppoex localname cisco

vpdn group pppoex ppp authentication pap

vpdn username cisco password *********

assuming all the commands above have been configured, the dsl should be connected without any drama.

further, what sort of router is connected to the pix outside interface? this router needs to be configured in running bridging mode.

Hi,

I've used a 2611XM router but not 1721.It was just for test.

I followed the configuration mentionned in the document, f0/0 is used instead of e0.

just wondering if you are configuring the exact scenario as in the cisco doc.

i.e. the pix is the pppoe client and the router is the pppoe server; or

the pppoe server is actually the isp.

e.g.

internet <--> 2611xm <--> pix <--> inside

assuming this is the scenario, then 2611xm needs to be re-configured in running bridging mode. personally i would terminate the dsl connection on the 2611xm and forward udp 500, and udp 4500 to the pix for vpn termination.

Hi,

the scenario is like this :

pix --- cloud --- router 2611XM ( it should be 1721 )

Maybe i misunderstood what's written.

That's what i want to do :

I need to test the pix configuration but our adsl has not been yet installed.

So, i tried to set up a router as server just for test .

config files are attached

Thanks in advanced
