Hi,
I have one question regarding lan based failover connected pix-es (one pix with UR + second pix with FO license).
If primary unit (UR license) failed, secondary unit (FO license) will be active unit. Theoretically, I won't be able to change/repaire primary unit (UR license) next 24 hours. What will happen if active - secondary pix (FO license) will be reloaded when the primary unit (UR license) won't be available.
any suggestions
thanks

I am running pix os 6.3.3
I saw the conversation below, but the question is how is failover working in this configuration?
I didn't find any useful docs about it.

JM,
Good question. We actually changed this behavior sometime back. If you failover to the secondary (FO only) box, you will be fine. It will not reload every 24 hours as in days past. Hope this helps.

ok, but is somewhere on cisco web any docs where the exact behaviour for this case (UR+FO) is described. I think FO license has an exact limitations, how it should work and how it shouldn't work for specific pix os release.
