Pix Firewall 506e Stopped Working

Hi,

I have pix 506e runnig as my Gateway Firewall.

Suddenly i am not able to Ping any interface,not able to telnet internal Interface.

Internet Browsing also stopped .

Can anyone plz tell me the causesa nd remedies for this.

I dont have any Syslog Server enable.

No one has done any changes in Configuration.

Hi, Chetan

you must access from console in firewall, check its internal interface status, its down, i suppose there is a problem that connection via switch or hardware problem on internal interface

Could you check first,

I checked everytihng.

Nothing is appearing in Console.

Light Status on PIX.

Network (UP) Blinking

ACT (DOWN) Not Blinking

Power (UP) Stable Green Light

I think there is anything related to hardware failure

What do you all say?

is there any switch between FW and LAN,its yes, check switch please,

Hi,

Yes there is switch in between. I replaced it and problem continues.

But now i m able to login through Console and Configuration is good and working,

Even i can ping outside/inside from pix, but after 2-3 minbutes PIX suddenly stops working and gives NILL response.

Does it has something related Config or I have to replace the BOX.

Could you check enviromental system (power outlet, voltage, ground, cable, module...vs) and isolate PIX from another connection (switch, router,pc...vs) and monitor status

Then you may enter factory default, check again.

I have done Factory Default.

Ans now thinking of reinstalling the PIX IOS

But my PIX doesnt goes ahead after reboot.

It is stuck on One location.

I think it hangs when rebooted.

And stopped responding.

Through console also you can only see starting after 1-3 seconds console mesaages are also stopeed.

What can be the reseaon.

I had resto9re factory default on friday and after that it worked for 2 days now suddenly it stopped again

ACT light in sgain DOWN.

ONLY Power,network lights are UP.

Is there any way from whihc i willbe able to Load IOS again.

Hi Chetan

i understand that PIX has no access,there is no any way from your site,load IOS,i recommend that you take this PIX in your Lab,There is an environment problem or PIX hardware problem.
