Id step back and try to determine future needs. The lower cost solution would be to obviously upgrade your PIX to terminate the VPNs but youll lose performance if you have the PIX working too hard. The VPN 3000 is a good solution because it can handle numerous more simultaneous sessions and is made for encryption. If you have a large number of remote users or plan to in the future Id suggest going with the 3000. You might also want to consider using your PIX as an interim solution and migrate to the VPN 3000 as your needs grow.
