PIX is checking protocol compability with RFC????

Hey,

I need to know if PIX is checking compability protocol (likeTFTP) with RFC,

and if packet is malformed it can be treated like atack?

I have aplication that is modyfing tftp packet and pix is not sending them!

If I switch it off it'll help??:

no monitor-interface outside

no monitor-interface inside

Hi,

I think PIX will not check it as you can always change the protocol number to any ununsed number as desired. This is done using 'fixup' command.

The 'monitor-interface ' if used to monitor the interface for failover purposes.
