PIX- Logging-Buffer

I have configured my PIX-525 running version 6.3 to send the system messages to it's internal buffer. However the messages are not time-stamped.I have also enabled the logging timestamp command.I read that the logging timestamp command only "timestamp's" messages going to the syslog server.

Is there any way i can achieve timestamping on the messages seen in the PIX's internal buffer.

PIX# sh logging

Syslog logging: enabled

Facility: 20

Timestamp logging: enabled

Standby logging: disabled

Console logging: level debugging, 404003 messages logged

Monitor logging: disabled

Buffer logging: level informational, 5001 messages logged

Trap logging: disabled

History logging: disabled

Device ID: disabled

Thanks!

Re: PIX- Logging-Buffer

Hi,

You're right in that logging timestamp adds a timestamp to syslog messages sent to a syslog server - but there's no way to timestamp the local messages.
