Re: PIX RIP problem

Hi,

you configured your PIX to use RIP version 2 and your router to use RIP version 1.

On the router configure

router rip

version 2

no auto-summary

network ....

and check the version used with "show ip protocol".

It should state "2" in the sending and receiving column.

If this doesn?t work it would be helpful to get the current router RIP config ("show run | begin rip")

Hope this helps! Please rate all posts.

Re: PIX RIP problem

Hi,

yes, this should be it. Optionally you could configure passwords to be used with RIP to secure the routing protocol.

In case any problems occur you can come back and post them here..
