PIX SMTP FIXUP QUESTION

Has anyone come across the following - Even if I disable smtp fixup for port 25 on my pix the mail guard feature still seems to be active i.e.

If I disable the mail guard feature: no fixup protocol smtp 25

And I now try to telnet to my public IP from a different network, I still get the mail guard response i.e. 220 ****

My public IP is port mapped to my internal MS Exchange server on port 25 for smtp, I'm running PIX 6.2(2) code.

Am I hitting a bug? Anyone come across this??

Thanks / Jay

Hi,

Can you try after performing a "clear xlate" and observe the result?

Vijay - thanks for the reply but sorry mate have tried clear xlate etc.. no good!

So just wondering if I'm hitting a bug, as I can not find a bug even by checking the bug track for 6.2(2), just thinking if anyone else has seen this before?
