PIX software upgrade

I have PIX 6.1 OS running on my pix and i'm planning for an upgrade of 6.2 and PDM2.1 or perhaps 6.3 on PDM3.0.Will my existing configuration be erased due to process of upgrading the OS and PDM.

BTW can I restored back my existing access-rules from my previous back-up copy from the previous version from TFTP server.?

Your current config won't be erased by the upgrade. However, the upgrade could fail one way or another, so I think it is best to make a save of your config file using a tftp server. And if something goes wrong, you can download it from the pix.
