I was wondering if anyone has had any issues creating a pix to pix vpn with the remote site using dsl. I have run into back to back issues where the remote site has dsl and I cannot get a tunnel up. Is this just a coincident or is there more to this issue.

I have connected to a 501 on DSL with no problem. The only thing to make sure of is getting a static ip for the outside interface of the 501.

just be sure the provider is not blockign udp 500 or esp and you should be fine

Most of the DSL providers do some sort of PAT translation. Is it true in your envirnment? If not then you have to get:
debug crypto isakmp, and
debug crypto ipsec
to see the failue
