PIX VPN over GPRS

Can anyone tell me if they have been able to get VPN to a pix 501 to work over gprs. I have spoken to my network provider, and they have informed me that it will not work as the pix does not support PAT - to which i informed them it does.

The only time I have installed a solution to terminate a gprs VPN tunnel I had to use a VPN Concentrator because it supports IPSEC over TCP/UDP whereas the Pix doesn't (currently). It's the gprs side traffic that gets subjected to PAT (at least it was for this particular gprs network provider) so maybe that's what your provider meant. Perhaps he should be saying "no, because it doesn't support IPSEC over TCP/UDP".

ESP over UDP will be available in Pix version 6.3.
