PIX515 and Microsofts Terminal Services

Hell-o,

We have a small satilite campus that is not behind our firewall. Presently we can use Terminal Services from our main campus to connect to the MS servers at this site and install updates, etc. We want this campus behind a PIX515 firewall but do not want to loose our Terminal Services connectivity.. is this possible? And if so, how?

TIA

Gary

Your small lan would be the inside, your main campus would be on the outside. As such you will need to set up statics (eg static (inside, outside) .... ) to allow your outside to access the inside servers. Create an access-list allowing your terminal server at the main campus to access the small campus but only over port tcp 3389. That should be the port they will connect over.

Hope that helps.

You may setup a site to site VPN connections between two campuses. PIX 515 does that.

I would also suggest a site to site VPN tunnel.
