Can someone explain why the Cisco Configuration Tool only allows one expansion card to be added to a PIX 515 chassis ? The documentation states that the chassis has two PCI expansion slots available and I have seen example configs in the documenation with both of these slots used but the config tool only shows one slot available. Is this a bug in the config tool or a genuine restriction with the PIX 515 ?
The config I need is as follows. This is not allowed by the config tool but is this a valid PIX 515 configuration or not ?
PIX-515 PIX 515 Chassis only 1
CAB-ACU Power Cord UK 1
PIX-515UR-SW PIX 515 Unrestricted Function software license 1
PIX-VPN-3DES PIX 3DES Software License Without Client Software 1
SF-PIX-5.3 PIX v5.3 Software for the PIX Chassis 1
PIX-1FE ONE 10/100 Mbps ETHERNET INTERFACES, RJ45 1
PIX-VPN-ACCEL PIX Firewall IPSec Accelerator 1

This is a common problem with the Configuration Tool. If it will not let you configure two interface cards for the PIX-515, order one of them as a spare. In this case you would order:
PIX-515-UR-BUN (You may have to specify the UK power cord separately)
PIX-VPN-3DES
PIX-1FE
PIX-VPN-ACCEL= (Note the "=" which identifies this card as a spare)
I'm familiar with this in the U.S., so things may vary a bit in the U.K.
Good luck.

That is a valid config and should work. Not sure why you were experiencing problems. Here is how I got this config to work.
PIX-515-UR-BUN PIX 515UR Bundle (Chassis, unrestricted SW, 2 FE ports) 1
CAB-ACU Power Cord UK 1
PIX-VPN-3DES PIX 3DES Software License Without Client Software 1
SF-PIX-5.3 PIX v5.3 Software for the PIX Chassis 1
PIX-1FE ONE 10/100 Mbps ETHERNET INTERFACES, RJ45 1
PIX-VPN-ACCEL PIX Firewall IPSec Accelerator 1
