PIX515E ....2 questions

Dear All,

first question is, I have PIX-515E-FOFEBUN with failover license and I would to know if it can run attached to a PIX-515E-URFEBUN.

The second is, if I have more subnets (clients) to connect to inside PIX I have to add a route command for each subnet. That's ok. But at the client side , for each machine I have to specify gateway (inside address) so it will not match inside subnet, and I can see all windows machine running without problems but I can't start open source machine in this environment.

Please, how can I connect more Linux machine under inside interface ?

Re: PIX515E ....2 questions

Hi,

why do you add different subnets and not increas the inside network? Using f.e. 10.0.0.0/8 inside would allow you to add every client to the same network and your default gateway would be the PIX (f.e. 10.0.0.1). There should be no issues from an IP perspective then with any client.

Hope this helps

Re: PIX515E ....2 questions

Yes, but in this way all customer's machines will belong to the same TCP address plan 10.0.0.0, and they could interact each other.

Alberto
