Pix525 and Redundant Gateway

Is there any way a Pix 525 running Cisco PIX Firewall Version 6.3(4)

Cisco PIX Device Manager Version 3.0(2)

can have a backup gateway. We currently have two seperate Internet feeds and need a way to be able to swap to the backup gateway should the main one fail. The routers of our external ISP are non configurable by ourselves so as far as i can guess that rules out BGP etc.

Re: Pix525 and Redundant Gateway

The only way to do this in a PIX is to run a dynamic routing protocol - either OSPF or RIP - and have the PIX learn its default route that way. The PIX doesn't support floating static routes. If you want Equal Cost load sharing between multiple routes, you have to use OSPF, and you're limited to a maximum of three equal-cost routes.
