Point-to-Point VPN

Is there a way to setup a point-to-point VPN between 2 cisco routers? If so, which model routers would support this? For example, would it be possible to create a vpn over a DSL connection connecting 2 cisco routers?

Thanks.

Re: Point-to-Point VPN

Yes, it is possible to set up a VPN between two cisco routers. In fact you can have VPN connectivity between all Cisco VPN devices such as routers, firewalls and concentrators. All Cisco routers support VPN. The only requirement that they have to meet is that of the correct IOS version running on the router. When establishing VPN connectivity over DSL, certain additional features some into play. More information about the same is available in documents 'Configuring IPSec Over ADSL...' which is located in the IPSec support page. To get to the IPSec support page, click Cisco.com>Technical Support> Technology Support > Security & VPN> Ipsec. See the section 'Implementation and Configuration' for configuration examples.
