Port Security and MAC Assignments

I would like to assign MACs to specific ports, however I discovered that if you have the same MAC on two different ports both port will shut down. Is there a way to assign the same MAC to differnet ports with port security enabled and neither port will shut down?

As long as the ports are in the same VLAN you cannot configure the same MAC on multiple ports. When this happens you cause what's known as a MAC move violation. Anymore questions please let us know.
