pptp with no-xauth on vpn3005 and mergic vpnclient on a tungsten palm

Hello,

we tried to get a pptp tunnel between a tungsten palm

with a mergic sw vpn-client and a vpn3005 concentrator running.

but in the debugs the conc says the palm is not giving the username/pass (xauth)back.

There is no possibility to configure username/passw

on the tungsten mergic client, only groupname/pass.

Is there a possibility to deactivate xauth on

the conc for pptp ?

The mergic VPN Client should work with the cisco

vpn3005 according CCO infos.

this client is not yet supporting IPsec, only

PPTP.

Thx 4 help.

Stefan

Re: pptp with no-xauth on vpn3005 and mergic vpnclient on a tung

Make sure you are using standard Microsoft PPTP client to connect. Vpn3k supports both ipsec and pptp.

I am not sure of Mergic software as I have not used it.

Re: pptp with no-xauth on vpn3005 and mergic vpnclient on a tung

our customer is using a tungsten with integrated

mergic vpn client. there is no microsoft client

available.

vpn conc is configured like in your link, but

is asking for xauth, which the client is not able

to.

therefore my question about how to disable xauth

in pptp on conc.

regards,

stefan
