PPTP won't work if NT Domain is not selected as Auth server

Hello,

I have setup VPN 3000 concentrator at my work. Everything works fine except: PPTP won't work if NT Domain is not selected as Authentication server and it must be on the top in the list. I am also using Radius Server to authentication our vpn client. IPSec works find with our Radius server but PPTP doesn't work at all.

Any solution???

You need to remove the require data encryption option from the securtiy tab on the W2k dialer

I have seen where PPTP works on IOS 12.1 and not on 12.0. Check out the IOS version.

In order to run PPTP with encryption, the Radius server must support MPPE. Without MPPE support, you will only run in the clear (PAP).

To ensure PPTP is set up properly, set the group to authenticate the user Internally and create a user account. If you are "Requiring" 128 bit encryption, make sure the PC has high encryption support.
