Problem after ASA5520 OS 7.0 copied to PIX 525 Failover Pair

Hi,

I have the PIX 525 Falover pair configuredd and working fine then I upgraded the pix os 6.3 to ASA 7.0 OS. Now the failover function is not working. In the active unit sh ver shows as active/active with UR license.

In the failover unit shows active/standby with failover only active/standby (F0).I did many times write standby also no failover active cmds in the active pix fw but no result.

What went wrong? is it support the direct 6.3 to 7.0(1) upgrade.Actually the OS belongs to ASA 5520 but I used here for PIX525 failover pair.

Now the show failover shows that " Secondary Failed""

Could you give the solution so that I can solve it asap.

Waiting for your reply

Re: Problem after ASA5520 OS 7.0 copied to PIX 525 Failover Pair

Hi Samy

As per the licensing Datasheet for active/active feature requirement you need to hve one of the pix device to have Unrestricted Licence and the other one as Failover-Active/Active (FO-AA).

do refer this link for more info on licensing details..
