Problem with NHRP

Hi,

I'm trying to configure NHRP for DMVPNs, but I get the following error:

% WARNING: This interface is running CEF:

NHRP will only work on a CEF interface in case

it's an ATM interface running BGP as well

Platform is a cisco 7206 (non-VXR) running c7200-jk8o3s-mz.122-40.bin.

Configuration looks like this:

interface Tunnel0

ip address 12.0.0.1 255.255.255.0

no ip redirects

no ip proxy-arp

ip mtu 1464

ip nhrp authentication xxx

ip nhrp network-id 1000

ip nhrp holdtime 20

ip nhrp server-only

ip route-cache flow

no ip route-cache cef

no ip mroute-cache

tunnel source FastEthernet1/0

tunnel mode gre multipoint

tunnel key xxxx

If I disable cef (no ip cef) globally the warning disappears, but I don't think this is a good solution. Disabling cef on the interface level still gives the warning.

So can I ignore this warning? NHRP _seems_ to work, but I'm currently only testing this in a lab and I'm a bit afraid if there could be some problems in production enviroment.

Thank you,

Martin

Re: Problem with NHRP

DMVPN on a 6500/7600 was not supported until 122-18.SXE and this is may be the reason for this error message.
