Problems with Cisco Systems VPN Client 4.6.04.0043

I don't know if I am right here with my question/problem.

I use usually the Cisco Systems VPN Client 4.6.04.0043 to connect to other systems and it was working till last week without any issues.

OS is Windows XP Professional SP2 with the latest updates.

Since last week the cvpnd.exe is taking 99% of the CPU after the Cisco service is started and I cannot start VPN Gui to connect to other systems.

Is there anything I can do to find out why the cvpnd.exe process is taking so much cpu so that I am able to fix the problem to get it to work again?

I already tried to fix it with deinstalling and reinstalling the VPN Client and also with deinstalling the version 4.6.04.0043 and installing the Cisco Systems VPN Client 4.8.00.0440 but had no success with it, both version act the same way after the service is started:

The cvpnd.exe is taking 99% of the CPU after the Cisco service is started and I cannot start VPN Gui.

Please let me know if you need any further information.

Thank you for your help.
