QoS Interoperability with third party routers

I have to intgrate a third party router network with IP telephony and a Cisco router network with IP telephony and VoIP.

Is there any issue when interconnecting Cisco router with third party router with regard to QoS features ( IP RTP pririty etc) for voice ?

Re: QoS Interoperability with third party routers

Most QoS features (queuing, etc) are local to the router. They just prioritize the packets and get them out fast. As long as the other device has similar means to prioritize the outbound traffic back there shouldn't be an issue. The QoS has to be done end-to-end to be effective (every router hop).

However, RTP header compression, FRF.12, Mulitlink PPP Interleaving, RSVP, etc have to be done on both sides so both cisco and the other vendor would have to be interoperable for those functions.
